Full Name: Leslie Erin Maxey

Leslie has been with Shelter Rock since 2006. She began as working part-time as the Manhasset Campus Director but soon transitioned into Children's Minstry. Between the two campuses, Leslie stays busy with leading volunteers, casting vision for the department, discipling kids, and having FUN! She absolutely loves her job and knows this is where God has placed her for this time of her life.

College: Cedarville University, BA in Christian Education

How did you end up on the island? Nanny in Oyster Bay for one year after college

When did you accept Jesus as your Savior? As a child with my mom after family devotion time

Favorite color: blue

Favorite food: Mexican...and chocolate...and ice cream!

Who was your favorite Sunday School teacher? My grandmother. She always used creative ways to teach the lessons. Whether it was marching around the "walls of Jericho," learning about creation with my cousin's farm animals, or eating the stew that Jacob made Isaac, we were never bored or disappointed in her class!

Favorite family vacation: Boone, North Carolina; we rode horses in the mountains (during a hail storm!), swam in the pool, tubed down a river, and had a blast!

Favorite movie: Princess Diaries, Monsters Inc., The Closer (tv show)

Free time: running, sports, shopping, or hanging out
